We have a new Vegan recipe to share, and this one is packed with Casa Bonita Foods and Tajin flavours. Anoher one of our friends, Lisa, from Dickey’s Cooking School came up with this delicious Jackfruit Tacos recipe.
In this case, our friend used Casa Bonita White Corn Tortillas, juicy shredded jackfruit, a drizzle of Tajin Chamoy, and finished it off with our Fire Roasted Jalapeño Salsa for that smoky heat!
You can watch below on how to quickly make these delicious tacos:
If you need more than the video, below you can see the written steps:
Fill each tortilla with the jackfruit mixture and top with your favourite fixings: cheese, pickled onions, avocado, cilantro, and a spoonful of Casa Bonita’s Fire Roasted Jalapeño Salsa.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté diced onions with cumin, smoked paprika, and chilli powder until fragrant.
Add shredded jackfruit and stir in Tajín Chamoy Sauce. Simmer for 5–10 minutes until the jackfruit absorbs the flavours. Set aside.
In a separate pan, heat ½ inch of oil over medium-high heat until it sizzles. Lightly fry tortillas for about 1 minute per side until golden but still pliable.
