Discada Tacos Recipe – Smoky Meats Combo

The combination of smoky meats, melted cheese, rich salsa and warm tortillas won’t disappoint and is the kind of dish that brings family and friends together for dinner.

Ingredients for the Discada Tacos

½ lb bacon, chopped
½ lb steak, sliced
1 lb chorizo, crumbled
1 onion, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 packet Casa Bonita Carne Asada seasoning
2 tbsp Casa Bonita fire-roasted jalapeño salsa
1 can of lager
1 cup crushed tomatoes
3 cups cheese, shredded
1 pack Casa Bonita corn tortillas, warmed

Recipe Instructions

a) Heat a large stainless-steel skillet over medium-high heat. Fry bacon until golden. Remove and set aside.
b) Add steak and fry until browned. Remove and set aside.
c) Add chorizo and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
d) Add bell peppers and sauté for 1 minute. Remove and set aside.
e) Add onions and sauté for 2–3 minutes. Deglaze with beer, scraping up any browned bits.
f) Add crushed tomatoes, Carne Asada seasoning, and fire-roasted salsa. Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
g) Return meats and peppers to the pan and mix well.
h) Top with cheese and broil in the oven for 3–5 minutes until melted.
i) Serve hot with warm corn tortillas.
