At Casa Bonita Foods, we want all Canadians to learn and enjoy Mexican Food all year round with delicious recipes. Lately, we have been collaborating with some friends to tap into their creativity in the kitchen, which has given us amazing ways to incorporate Casa Bonita Foods into classic and new takes on Mexican dishes.
This time, we want to share a Latin American dish many countries claim to have their unique take on. There are a few versions of the Ceviche in Mexico, but we asked our collaborator and friend Kyle Crawford @homechefkle, to come up with a Casa Bonita Foods twist for this delicious classic. Here are the ingredients and easy-to-follow steps you need for this Casa Bonita Foods Ceviche.
Ingredients
- 1 6-8 oz filet of Basa, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely diced
- ¼ white onion, finely minced
- ½ of a cubanelle pepper, finely diced
- 1 tbsp fine salt
- Juice from 5 limes
- ¼ cup cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp of Tajin
- Bowl of Casa Bonita Tortilla Chips
How to prepare the Ceviche
a) Combine Basa fish, tomato, onion, cubanelle pepper, salt, and lime juice in a bowl.
b) Mix thoroughly, cover, and set in the fridge for about an hour or until fish has turned white and opaque.
c) Remove from fridge and mix in chopped cilantro.
d) Plate and sprinkle Tajin over top.
e) Serve with a big pile of Casa Bonita Tortilla Corn Chips.
